Zach may be the best human I have ever known. I am very, very grateful to know him, both as my best friend and as my partner.
A year passed for us on the 5th. We celebrated Christmas together on the 25th.
But the best part about this month has been redefining and rediscovering our relationship. It’s good to start over and feel new.
We’ve been challenged and we’ve overcome. We’ve been broken down, to our less than charming cores and seen a lot of each other’s sorrow and rage. We’ve felt loss. We’ve changed a lot. But we made it.
It is my deepest hope that things will continue on this path. A path which I believe will lead to great companionship and peace.
I have been shown nothing but kindness. I have been supported through and through, encouraged tremendously, and as a result, been made brave.
The new year marks a new beginning for me. A year of new experiences. A new adventure around each corner.
I am confident that he will be my hand to hold and I am honored by this thought.
It has been an absolute pleasure to get to know this incredible person.
